Super romantic chill place

spacious room with unforgettable views of the mountains and the pacific. location: stunning and amazing, near the parks in big sur and pri's sierra mar restaurant. also, on nearby hikes.

Quite dirty area.

Staying in a fireplace guest room with a fine canyon view offered the perfect blend of privacy and beauty. The luxurious bedding and intimate firelight created a magical atmosphere. Exploring the serene paths and enjoying the infinity hot tub were highlights. The dining options felt disconnected from the overall charm, with lackluster portion sizes that didn't reflect the prices. It would benefit from a broader, more appealing menu to match the serene ambiance of the resort.

Room service only from 6-9pm No movies in room

We absolutely loved our stay there and will definitely return for future romantic getaways. The pathways that surround the property are beautiful and although it is optional, we took the 15 minute walk to the restaurant for dinner on a beautiful lighted pathway blanketed in stars.

The logs they give you for the fire burn out too quickly and we had to call repeatedly for them to bring more.

Alila Ventana feels like a hidden gem where relaxation meets luxury-imagine lounging in a hammock while watching the sun dip behind the redwoods, all accompanied by a complimentary cheese and wine hour that would make even Dionysus jealous. The staff was as attentive as a golden retriever waiting for a treat, ensuring every request was met with a smile.

Loud neighbors

Very friendly and service oriented staff. I.E. We got a glass of local (good) wine to sweeten check in, very good quality and complementary breakfast, rooms are in small wooden houses that fit neatly into the magnificent landscape/garden. Hotel displays great attention to detail. Very quiet roomes. Great place to relax. Nice partial view on the ocean.

everything about it. the drive there, the property, the room, the service, the food --- all over the top. an incredible vacation.

Amazing views and great hiking, but service at the restaurant was really lacking.

The fitness room is way too small with mini al equipment and unconducive to a workout!

Wonderful boutique hotel with wonderful views of the ocean. Spacious rooms, marvellous and excellent breakfast. Free parking onsite provided. The early check-in.

would like to stay longer

The king suite with a hot tub was dreamy! It had air conditioning, a minibar, and a tv. Loved soaking in the hot tub while surrounded by redwoods. Spa facilities included yoga classes and massages which were devine. The staff was super nice and helpful.

The king suite with a hot tub was an absolute dream! I loved glamping under redwoods, soaking in a sunset-lit jacuzzi, and relaxing by the cozy fire pit. After a long hike, the wine and cheese hour was the perfect treat!

Totally recommend for a couple of nights

Luxurious room, attentive staff, with fantastic amenities like the outdoor swimming pool and a wonderful in-room fireplace to relax in after a day of exploring.

Absolutely stunning hotel! The deep soaking tub was amazing, and the overall luxurious atmosphere was just perfect for relaxation. Dining was amazing, especially the Old Fashioned!
